A home to call your own is "the American dream." But it's so much more than that. It's the place where you feel safe. The place to shelter your memories, your treasured possessions, and your loved ones. It is what we dream of, we work for, we strive to have....our own home.
Now imagine if one little mistake stops you from making that dream come true. Now imagine your family needing you to provide them that shelter, that rock, that they can be safe.
Since 2004, families have learned that new lending guidelines, new FICO scoring systems, new bank scrutiny are preventing many from becoming homeowners in one of the greatest buyers markets in decades. If ever there were a time for proactive lending, it is now.
Under One Roof, Inc. is a charitable organization. We are a licensed 501 (c) (3) non profit organization. With donations, Under One Roof, Inc. purchases foreclosed or short sale homes.
We screen families that can AFFORD a mortgage, but can't QUALIFY due to these stricter guidelines. We select families that are basically hindered by minor problems. For example: new federal guidelines restrict Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac from lending money to anyone that has defaulted payment history on student loans...even it if was for a loan as small as $500.00.
Under One Roof, Inc., takes the whole picture into consideration, and can offer a new home for them. They enter into a contract with the organization, and make their mortgage payments to us. We, in turn, use their money along with others donations to further the organization.
Under One Roof, Inc. remains focused on helping families. Our overhead is so small nearly every donated penny is utilized solely for the acquisition of another home. With YOUR HELP, we can help those that need a home find a home.
